Bracamonte Convenient Kitchen acquires Sushi Ran

Squarefield acted as exclusive financial advisor to Bracamonte Convenient Kitchen on the acquisition of Sushi Ran

On 28 June 2019, our client Bracamonte Convenient Kitchen (“BCK”) announced it has completed the acquisition of Sushi Ran, producer of Japanese specialties including sushi, based in Leimuiden.
With the acquisition, the parties are joining forces in the areas of product development and commerce. BCK and Sushi Ran have the ambition to develop new products and sales channels together.

“Sushi is increasingly seen as a healthy choice for a lunch or ready-made meal. We also see a growing interest in dishes inspired by Japanese cuisine, such as poké salad bowls, ramen noodles, donburi rice meals or bento lunchboxes” says Sandrijn Poortman, CEO of BCK.

Just like Sushi Ran, BCK is a family business where quality is of paramount importance. Sushi Ran remains an independently operating company and the current management will continue the daily management after the acquisition.
